What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem?

I knew what my employer was charging for my consulting hours. When comparing that to my salary, it didn’t take long to realize the value of my experience and work. 

Seeing people freelance on the side isn’t uncommon in our industry. So I decided to try freelancing, and around that same time, I got laid off. That was the catalyst for me to grow my small but expanding client base. 

How does working with 10K let you focus on the work you love?

I see 10K as a business partner. They manage the laundry list that comes with running a business so I can focus on delivering good work to the client. I don’t have to do sales pitches, spend time and money marketing my services, etc. 

Having that kind of support takes a huge weight off my shoulders because business development isn’t my bread and butter. 

How does working with 10K help you build your business?

I’ve been put on projects and clients I wouldn’t typically have exposure to. I don’t have to rely on massive marketplaces like Upwork or even LinkedIn to market myself. 

Working with 10K has also given me financial stability and security as a new independent. They make invoicing super easy, and I know without a doubt I’ll get paid on time by them. I don’t have to worry about the back office, following up on open invoices with my client, or whether I’ll get paid at all. 10K makes it possible to launch an independent consulting business with confidence. 

How has 10K shaped your career? 

I’ve been independent for only a few months, but it hasn’t taken long to realize it’s all about the art of the possible (just like Salesforce). 10K has given me a support structure to reach my vision of the future. I’m goal-oriented, and I know I have a community at my side to help me get there.
