What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem?

I knew it was time to go independent when I recognized the growing need for Salesforce talent. Salesforce was booming in 2016 – I listened to the market and paid close attention to emerging trends. The next step I took (after making sure I had enough money to sustain myself) was making my own Salesforce consulting business official. 

How does working with 10K let you focus on the work you love? 

10K’s support processes for independents free up valuable time to focus on the work that matters. They shoulder the overhead of running a Salesforce consultancy, from timekeeping to billing, contracts, etc. That’s a huge benefit and helps me avoid a lot of headaches.

Being a 10K Expert gives me the opportunity to connect with clients I wouldn’t typically have access to. Additionally, 10K has a great network full of like-minded Salesforce entrepreneurs. I never feel alone. They have an awesome support system where we can ask for help with day-to-day operational questions and system-specific technical questions. As an independent consultant, having a dependable, innovative community to turn to takes a lot of pressure off me. 

How has 10K helped shape your career or advance your skills?

I’ve gained more exposure to complex CPQ clients. 10K has entrusted me with a variety of projects and tough challenges – this has pushed my technical expertise to the next level.
