What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem?
It wasn’t so much an “ah-ha!” moment, but a step-by-step process once I decided independent Salesforce consulting was what I wanted to do. My “big break” was with an organization in junior golf I had been working with for over 15 years. We had established trust and a get-things-done reputation. When they decided to go with Salesforce NPSP they gave me the opportunity to set it up for them. The rest is history.

No wasting time chasing down the next client or dealing with SOWs, etc. — just spring into action!
How does working with 10K help you build your business?
I get some work from a small consulting firm, some from my own non-profit clients, and some from 10K. It’s a great balance that doesn’t leave me at risk of a dry patch where I’m suddenly scrambling for work.
