What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem?
Not so much an “ah-ha!” moment, but a step-by-step process once I decided independent Salesforce consulting was what I wanted to do. My “big break” was with an organization in junior golf that I had done other IT work for over 15 years and had established trust and a get-things-done reputation. They decided to go with Salesforce NPSP and gave me the opportunity to set it up for them.

No wasting time chasing down the next client or dealing with SOW, etc. Just spring into action!
How does working with 10K help you build your business?
I get some work from a small consulting firm, some from my own non-profit clients, and some from 10K. It’s a great balance that doesn’t leave me at risk of a dry patch where I’m suddenly scrambling for work.
