What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem?

I always wanted to own my own business. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, but I appreciate the flexibility and ability to choose who to work with. That’s why I started my journey to independent consulting as a freelancer: I wanted the freedom to select the missions, projects, and topics I felt most passionate about. 

After a year of freelancing with one large customer, I decided to make my independent consulting business official. It was a transformational time. I learned the ropes of running a business, how to build my network, and met my current business partner.  

How does working with 10K let you focus on the work you love?

I love that 10K connects with me with project work I’m passionate about. Finding new customers is time-consuming and difficult, especially while focused on delivering excellence. 

When I’m on a 10K project, all I have to do is submit my timesheet, and they take care of the rest – invoicing the customer, chasing payments, etc. The beauty of their model is I am paid on time, no matter what. That’s security. All I have to focus on is doing good work for the customer. 

How does working with 10K help you build your business?

I’m located in Brazil, so partnering with a US-based and respected company like 10K has helped facilitate trust in my business. Breaking into the US market would have been an overwhelming challenge on my own. 

How has 10K shaped your career? 

As an entrepreneur, it’s difficult being alone. Being a part of 10K feels like I am on a team. If I have a question, I can turn to my fellow experts in the 10K Expert Community. I love that we all want to help each other. Sure, you can go on LinkedIn and try to network, but it’s not the same thing. 10K has built a true community of independent Salesforce consultants.
