What was your first “ah-ha!” moment before going independent in the Salesforce ecosystem? 

When I realized I was too swamped with work to have quality energy for the people I most wanted to work with. I want to be a real partner to teams that are growing and doing cool things. Being independent gives me the flexibility to put energy toward clients and partners I can grow with.

What are some of your favorite parts about being an independent Salesforce expert?

As an independent, it’s my job to bring my third-party expertise to the table and speak up when a project veers off course. It’s an awesome responsibility and one of my favorite aspects of being an independent expert. I want projects to go well, and I love building solutions that are stepping stones toward business success. 

Why do you like being part of the 10K Community? 

I feel like I’m on a team, even though I work for my own company. It’s game-changing to have access to 10K Experts across every Salesforce module. I don’t know Marketing Cloud, but if a question came up I know I can tap into the 10K Expert Community for support. 

How does working with 10K let you focus on the work you love?

Getting project work from 10K has helped provide me with financial stability and the freedom to continue building my business. For example, I just finished a blog series on how I work to implement Salesforce for SMBs and I joined the Portland Business Alliance. 10K helps me devote more time to the communities I care most about.
