10K Community Guidelines and Policies

The terms of this Community Guidelines and Policies (“Agreement”) are hereby acknowledged and entered into between 10K ADVISORS, LLC  (“Company”) and the “Expert”. This Agreement outlines the best practices and regulations the Expert must adhere to regarding community participation and collaboration. 

The Company desires to grant access to systems and tools, including but not limited to, 10K Connect work management and DevOps portal, 10K Lodge Slack collaboration community, 10K Climb learning management system, and Google Workspace to Expert.

The Expert desires to use Company systems and tools for the purposes of collaborating with the Company’s agents, partners, and customers, participating in educational content, and/or rendering professional services either directly to Company or to customers of Company on Company’s behalf.

The Company and Expert agree as follows:

1. Definitions (all other defined terms herein shall have the meanings as described within the context of this Agreement).

“Core Values” means the driving principles and ideals by which the Company operates. The Company has four core values:

  • Earn Trust – be dependable, honest and show integrity
  • Be growth minded – have drive and be passionate about what you do; embrace being a lifelong learner
  • Be a problem solver – be proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial
  • Be a leader – have strong character and set the right example.  Have an opinion, share a direction, make recommendations, and be a good listener 

Community” means a group of people who share a common interest or goal, and who interact with each other on a regular basis. In the context of this document, the Community refers to the Company employees, partners, customers, and delivery experts, who come together to share information, learn from each other, and collaborate on projects.

2. Community Participation

2.1 Scope

This Agreement applies to all communications and behaviors occurring in the Community – one on one communications, group communications, and anywhere communications or activities have the potential to adversely affect the safety and well-being of community members. 

2.2 Guidelines

Expert should uphold Company’s Core Values to the best of their ability at all times and should participate in the Community as follows: 

2.2.1 Engaging and communicating with others

Expert should use the variety of Company systems, tools, and resources to engage, connect and build relationships with those in the Community. The Community is meant for Expert to collaborate, build meaningful relationships, and gain knowledge. 

2.2.2 Respecting others

Expert must be fair and respectful to fellow Community members. Everyone in the Community has valuable input and insights to offer the group. Expert should communicate viewpoints in a concise, courteous manner. Expert must be honest and accurate when posting information via Company collaboration tools. Company has zero tolerance for any behavior that is disrespectful, disruptive, or that violates this Agreement. 

2.2.3 Solicitation of Products and Services

Expert must not use the Community, or contact information gathered from it, to advertise product or service offerings to other participants or firms without written consent from an authorized Company agent. 

Expert must not share participants’ contact information without written consent from an authorized Company agent. 

Expert must not use participants’ contact information for any type of marketing or distribution without written consent from an authorized Company agent. 

2.2.4 Political conversation

Expert should refrain from discussing partisan issues via our collaboration tools.

2.2.5 Compliance with laws and regulations

Expert must observe all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines while using Company systems and tools. 

Expert must refrain from engaging in any illegal activities or posting any content that violates intellectual property rights or infringes upon privacy.

2.2.6 Confidentiality

Access to the Community is a privilege. All information found within the Community must be considered confidential and must not be shared outside of the Community without written consent from an authorized Company agent.

2.2.7 Disclaimer

The Community provides a forum for collaboration, engagement, and anecdotal, personal advice. Expert should refer to their accountant and/or attorney prior to acting on any information provided in the Community. 

2.3  10K Lodge

Expert should do their best to adhere to the following best practices and etiquette guidelines when using the Company-provided Slack workspace:

  • Tagging People:  use (@) to tag specific people in posts, conversations or to speak to someone in a channel.   
  • Direct Message:  If you would like to start a 1:1 conversation with someone, create a direct message with them.  
  • Threads:  If someone asks a question and you want to reply to it, reply via the thread so the conversation can be followed and the channels are easy to read/browse. 
  • Customer Names: To protect the confidentiality of our clients, please refrain from using customer company or contact names outside of private project channels. You can refer to the industry of the customer as needed.  

3. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Company reserves the right to issue a warning to Expert in the event that any terms of this Agreement are violated. Company reserves the right to delete any information shared or posted by the Expert that violates this Agreement.

Failure to comply with this Agreement may result in the termination of access to the Company’s systems and tools, and Expert contracts with the Company may be terminated. Legal action may be taken in the case of severe misconduct or breach of privacy regulations.

4. Reporting Misconduct

Expert should immediately report anyone that is not following the guidelines to one of the following Company representatives:

5. Modification

Company reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time, in its sole discretion. Company will provide written notification of any material change to this Agreement to the Expert. Expert is responsible for staying informed and up-to-date with the latest version of this Agreement. By continuing to access and use our systems and tools, Expert acknowledges their ongoing commitment to adhere to this Agreement. 

Additionally, the Community is exclusive to full-time independent consultants and select delivery partners. In the event the Expert returns to full-time employment or moves to another position, the Company may, at its sole discretion, remove Expert’s access. 

6. Entire Agreement

This Agreement sets forth the entire agreement and understanding of the Company and Expert with respect to the subject matter discussed herein. Neither party may be bound by any related definition, condition, representation or waiver other than as expressly stated in this Agreement or as subsequently set forth in writing signed by the parties hereto.
