Meet Gaurav Kheterpal, 10K’s New Learning & Development Leader

Since 2016 our mission has been to give Salesforce experts and customers the freedom to excel at the work they love. This summer, we are taking that mission further to provide value beyond connecting our community with projects and business support.

Like our global community of independent Salesforce consultants, we’re driven by a passion for learning and personal growth. It’s one of the common threads that connect every member of 10K, and it has been an important piece of our vision since the beginning. Now, we’re putting that vision into action.

We’re thrilled to officially announce 10K Climb: a concept-driven learning and development program designed exclusively for the 10K Expert Community, led by Salesforce learning and development leader Gaurav Kheterpal.

10K Climb will feature go-at-your-own-pace courses that are Salesforce best-practice and project delivery-focused. Our lens is focused beyond the basics – every course is expertly curated by elite Salesforce professionals for elite Salesforce professionals.

Gaurav, 10K Climb’s Learning and Development Leader, has dedicated his career to upskilling and nurturing the careers of Salesforce professionals. He also is a dear friend of 10K and a passionate advocate for the growing independent consulting movement taking hold in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Read on to learn more about Gaurav’s storied career, his vision for 10K Climb, and how Salesforce experts can stay competitive within a constantly evolving industry.

As 10K’s first learning and development leader, what are you most excited to accomplish?

Whether it’s Salesforce admins, business analysts, developers, or architects – 10K has built a community of some of the best independent minds within the ecosystem. I’m looking forward to helping them with their career goals in terms of learning and certification. I’m fascinated by the prospect of helping these experts further sharpen their skills and strengthening the 10K Community.

Where did your passion for learning and development come from?

I’ve always been a curious person and passionate about technology. I read a lot – lock me up in a room full of books (and some good food), and I will never want to come out. I believe that technology moves fast, and to keep up with it, one needs to learn actively, or else you’ll find it challenging to stay relevant.

You’ve accomplished so much in your Salesforce career. What drove you to partner with 10K?

The 10K model is unique. It is Salesforce talent on demand which I believe is the future of the workforce, not just in the Salesforce ecosystem but in the tech industry at large.

The 10K model is unique. It is Salesforce talent on demand which I believe is the future of the workforce, not just in the Salesforce ecosystem but in the tech industry at large.

An on-demand talent model provides much flexibility on both sides – businesses don’t need dedicated teams, thus reducing their costs. At the same time, independents have the freedom to choose what kind of projects they want to engage in.

I have been in the Salesforce ecosystem for over 16 years, and I can attest to the fact that there’s no other player in the market who’s managed to pull off this model as successfully as 10K. Connecting the 10K Community with unique upskilling opportunities will further boost the value proposition of leveraging 10K Experts on projects.

Our mission is to give people the freedom to excel at the work they love. How do you see yourself contributing to our mission?

10K’s mission is one of the reasons why I chose to lead 10K Climb. I believe that if you give people the freedom to excel at the work they love, it shows in the quality of their deliverables.

I believe that if you give people the freedom to excel at the work they love, it shows in the quality of their deliverables.

On the contrary, conventional full-time jobs often force people to pick up projects or technologies they aren’t interested in. The freedom and flexibility that comes with independent consulting are unparalleled. I strongly believe this is one of the reasons why 10K has been so successful.

As the 10K Learning & Development Leader, my goal is to empower the 10K Community to upskill in new areas that they’ve always wanted to and help them achieve their learning goals – all while maintaining that same sense of freedom and flexibility that they are accustomed to as independent Salesforce consultants.

I can’t wait to get started – let’s do this!
